The Imperial Church owes a great debt of gratitude to Games Workshop and more specifically to Rick Priestley, without whom neither this site nor most of the concept of the The Imperial Church would exist.  We would like to take this opportunity to say unequivocally that this site does not wish to pose any threat to the sanctity of Games Workshop's copyright of the entire WarHammer 40k Universe.  The Imperial Church seeks to be an otherwise independent site, with unique content which bears no relation to the story line nor associated characters nor products.

The extent of use of a minuscule portion (the Religious Humanism idea of the Emperor and his Teachings) of the copyright work (the WarHammer 40k franchise) as used here is intended to be done under “Fair Use” according to U.S. Copyright laws, specifically Section 107 under the auspices of “criticism, comment, […] teaching […], scholarship, [and] research”.  “[T]he amount and substantiality of the portion used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole” is intended to be minimal and “the effect of the use upon the potential market for or value of the copyrighted work” is intended to be positive and beneficial to the copyright owner, Games Workshop

In the future, The Imperial Church seeks to become recognized as a Non-Profit Religious Institution.
